Dolphin and Marinelife Photography Day Course
Locations: Brixham, Dartmouth
Duration: 8+ hours
Dates: 24th May, more to follow soon
Welcome aboard the Dolphin Watch UK excursion with added photography support! Something that is so important when you go on a wonderful trip such as this, is making sure you have the memories to remember it by. Dolphins breaking the water, birds diving for fish, Seals checking you out and the occasional Basking Shark.
The problem is that you can’t ask them to hold on while you frame the shot. Leaving the camera on Auto might get a picture, but will it get you something that you are happy to talk about for ages with friends!
The idea behind having Simon Palmer on board with Dolphin Watch is to get to grips with a better understanding of the fundamentals of photography. Knowing how to use the camera gives you a better chance of making the picture you want. While it’s never guaranteed that it will happen every time, it will increase your chance of it!
Simon will cover using Aperture, ISO, and Shutter to gain a better photograph along with other tools and composition ideas. Even at Sea!!

Trip information
Depending on the location you are departing from you will be advised on the best car parking and the meeting point in both email and over the phone. You will also receive the full details you need to know about your trip. Please bring warm clothes and full waterproofs, particularly during the colder months, but also on warmer summer days as you do just never know, please bring plenty of food and water for those not with the packed lunch option. There are full working toilets on our boats and teas, coffees and biscuits are provided. Binoculars and a camera are recommended.
Although we cannot guarantee any specific wildlife sightings myself and the skippers will work their hardest to make sure we do.
If sadly the conditions aren't quite right to head out to sea for the full 8+ hours, we will either shorten the trip duration to 5-6 hour or reschedule, as much as we all love to see and be close to the marine wildlife, it's not worth making anyone feel ill or endangering anyone's life. But rest assured we will be in touch in the days before to communicate this.

Fish & Chip Supper with a chance of dolphins
Location: Brixham. Duration: 4 hours
These are new trips for us and only running during the summer months and into autumn while daylight hours let us. These are still dolphin and marine life excursions but with the very best local fish and chips and hopefully the most amazing ocean sunsets views. As with our full day trips we'll start along the coastline keeping our eyes open for the local resident harbour porpoises and seals. We will then head out to sea for the remainder of the our safari, hopefully increasing our chances of finding various dolphin species including the playful Commons, large Bottlenose, majestic White Beaked and the rare Risso's, before heading back in for the sunset photo opportunity.
This trip is very popular with our guests whats could be better than eating fish and chips, dolphin watching as the sun goes down with a chilled glass of wine. Magical thats what I say.
Evening Excursion:
£55 per person including Fish & Chip Supper
Beer and wine package available, please enquire.
No dogs please.
Note: Minimum of 7 people in total for the 4 hour wildlife cruises. Maximum 10/12 boat depending
